Crystalens® The Latest IOL for Treating Cataracts
| |
Following your cataract evaluation, you may be given the opportunity to choose the type of Intraocular lens (IOL) to suit your needs. For some people, a fixed focus IOL is the best choice. If this is the case for you, our doctors will make that recommendation. However, Dr. Bausch or Dr. Jones may suggest a state-of-the-art, deluxe IOL, called Crystalens. |

What is Crystalens?
| |
Crystalens is an accommodating IOL that uses the eye’s natural muscle to change focus so that you can see near, far and in between.

This special IOL works by inserting very flexible legs into the eye muscle and allowing the lens to move back and forth to
focus.
That means you get the most natural vision currently possible. There are some people who may need as much as a year for the muscles of the eye to gain enough strength to take full advantage of crystalens. However ultimately you will attain excellent distance vision, and eventually will be able to see watches, cell phones, computer screens, speedometers, and more without using glasses. |
